With shovels in sight, bull dozers in motions for moving dirt, hard hats on and dirt being moved around, the vision was cast and set in motion. The ground breaking begins the Phase II addition, which will add another 155,000 square feet to the existing 78,000 square foot MMC facility off of Garrison Drive.

The ground breaking ceremony was one in which Mayor Tommy Bragg, Mayor Burgess, Senator Jim Tracy, Representative Rick Womick, Senator Bill Ketron, Former MMC General Surgeon-Dr. James Nunnery, Former Pediatrican-Dr. Jerry Campbell, MMC specialist, staff, family, friends and patients of the clinic would wish to be apart. What started 62 years ago with two physicians, Dr. S.C. Garrison and Dr. Carl Adams, implementing the concept of group medical practice to Rutherford County, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic has grown into a comprehensive 20+ multi-specialty group, with 65 physicians, along with a physician directed medical spa (U-Medi Spa)and a physician guided medical weight loss program (NexSlim) and two satellite Family Walk-In clinics (MMC Now). The excitement is quick to spread as MMC will once again be the "one-stop-shop" for their patients health care needs, wellness and beauty.
