Lauren Knox is the Director of Marketing at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic & SurgiCenter. Lauren is a Rutherford County native. She was raised in Smyrna, and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and Marketing.

As Director of Marketing, Lauren oversees all marketing and public relations initiatives for Murfreesboro Medical Clinic's 20+ specialties, 80+ physicians and 7 locations. She has served in the Marketing department for the past 8 years. In 2016, she was recognized as one of Murfreesboro’s top Young Professionals by Murfreesboro Magazine.

Prior to her work with the clinic, Lauren worked as the Communications Associate at the Nashville Career Advancement Center. There she handled all communications and marketing for the agency in Rutherford, Wilson and Davidson Counties.

Lauren has a passion for being an active member in her community. She currently serves as a board member for the local chapter of the American Heart Association and the Discovery Center. Additionally, she has served on various committees dedicated to planning fundraising and awareness events for non-profits in the Murfreesboro community. Special Kids Race, Bald in the Boro, March for Babies, Storybook Breakfast, and the Heart Walk are all events that she is thankful to have been part of. She believes that Murfreesboro is one of the greatest communities in the U.S. and is grateful for opportunities to give back. Since 2015, she has been an active member of Rutherford CABLE.



Lauren is married to Ryan Knox, High School History Teacher and Varsity Football Coach at Oakland High School. They live in Murfreesboro with their two children and two golden doodles.
