ABOUT DR. COTÉ

A native of Mt. Juliet, Dr. Coté attended Middle Tennessee State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2003. Dr. Coté completed his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 2007. Dr. Coté completed dually accredited Residency at SIU in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine in 2010.

During his Residency at SIU, Dr. Coté was chosen as the principle resident to guide the transformation to a NCQA Certified Level 3 PCMH (Patient-Centered Medical Home). Upon graduation in 2010, he was awarded the Continuous Quality Improvement Award for his effort. Following his training, Dr. Coté joined the Internal & Family Medicine department at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic (MMC) where he has built a bustling Family Medicine Practice. 

Dr. Cotés’ passion for Analytics, Informatics, and Quality Improvement led to his appointment as Chief Medical Information Officer in 2011. He championed the MMC Internal & Family Medicine department’s transformation to a Level 3 NCQA Certified PCMH in 2013. He served as a Delegate for the state of Tennessee to the American Osteopathic Association Congress and consulted as a panelist at the EHRs Perfect Practice Summit in 2014. He was also invited to speak at the National Adult Immunization Summit for the CDC in 2017.

Dr. Coté is affiliated with the AOA, TOMA, ACOFP, AAFP, SRAM and is a member of the BCBS-TN PCMH Physician Advisory Board. 

Through his experiences in training and collected knowledge, Dr. Cote´ fundamentally believes that judicious utilization of information and analytics is the key to delivering the highest quality care to the patient. The structure of the PCMH is the best vehicle to accomplish this.

Dr. Coté is a resident of Murfreesboro where he is father of three awe-inspiring daughters and husband to one miraculous wife.
