Dr. Robert Knox moved to Murfreesboro in 1994 after completing his internal medicine and gastroenterology training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is married to Julie and has two daughters, Megan and Ellie. Megan, her husband, and their child lives in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Ellie has two children and lives in Auburn, Alabama. Dr. Knox has previously severed as the Chairman of the Quality-of-Care committee and as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He has been a member of Bible Study Fellowship Murfreesboro men's class for 20+ years and attends People of Hope Church.
After finishing his training, Dr. Knox and his wife were looking to settle in a family-oriented community. Murfreesboro has been a place that they love and will always call home.
