Physicians

Do you have tired, achy, heavy legs? Visible and painful varicose veins? Have restless legs?

If so, you may be suffering from venous reflux disease. More than 30 million people are undiagnosed with varicose veins.

Traditionally, patients diagnosed with venous reflux would undergo vein stripping surgery. Now, minimally invasive treatment options, such as Venefit, VenaSeal and Sclerotherapy are available to patients.

THE VENEFIT™ PROCEDURE

The Venefit procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. Using ultrasound, your physician will position the ClosureFast™ catheter into the diseased vein through a small opening in the skin. The tiny catheter powered by radiofrequency (RF) energy delivers heat to the vein wall. As the thermal energy is delivered, the vein wall shrinks and the vein is sealed closed. Once the diseased vein is closed, blood will re-route itself to other healthy veins.
