ABOUT DR CHESNEY Dr. Brad Chesney has lived in Murfreesboro with his wife, KJ, and daughter, Claire, since 2001. His daughter, Ella, was born at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in 2001. Dr. Chesney is a youth soccer coach and he enjoys supporting his daughters at soccer, horseback riding and swimming events. He is an active member at First United Methodist Church. Dr. Chesney enjoys volunteering his time in leadership activities at Providence Christian Academy, MTMC and the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. Personal interests include physical fitness, tennis, football and travel.
Dr. Chesney earned an undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin in 1992. He graduated from The University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio in 1997. He came to Middle Tennessee as an intern in 1997 at Vanderbilt University and completed his residency program at Vanderbilt in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2001. He has practiced at the Murfreesboro Medical Clinic since 2001.
Dr. Chesney has been on the forefront in healthcare. He was one of the 1st physicians in Rutherford County to offer comprehensive pelvic reconstructive surgery and management of pelvic support issues. He was also the first physician in Murfreesboro to offer the Essure sterilization procedure and he was the first gynecologist in Murfreesboro to offer the da Vinci Robotic Hysterectomy and is considered to be a leader in advanced surgical techniques that offer minimally invasive benefits to patients. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, The Stones River Academy of Medicine, The Lonnie S. Burnett Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and The Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
